Simulator Driver
The Simulator driver is a driver for the Ignition OPC-UA module. The driver provides a way to simulate data without having to connect to an actual PLC. The module has two types of simulators: Generic and Allen-Bradley.
The Generic Simulator provides a variety of tags that offer different data types and value generation styles. For example, there are ramps, sine waves, and random values. Additionally, there is a set of static writable tags whose values will persist while the device is running.
The Allen-Bradley or SLC Simulator creates a simple device whose address structure mimics a basic SLC structure. There are currently no configurable parameters.
Since the driver is part of the Ignition OPC-UA module, it does have to be activated to unlock the trial mode. CD keys are free and can be generated here.
