One highlight of 2.2 is the new Data Caching System, which will continue to log historical data even if the connection to a remote database server is lost. Upon reconnection, all of the data will be imported, and logging will continue as normal. No more lost data due to network or server issues!
Due to the number of enhancements in 2.2, it has been rated a Recommended update for existing users. This means that most users should consider updating. Of course, users who have well running systems and do not plan on expanding them soon may wish to wait until they have a more pronounced need to upgrade.
As always, upgrades along the major version chain are free for all users. You may download upgrades easily from the Downloads Section.
