SECS/GEM Module

The SECS/GEM Module enables Ignition projects and third-party applications to communicate with semiconductor fab equipment. The module utilizes the HSMS-SS and SECS II standards to communicate with equipment over TCP/IP networks. SECS-I serial connections are also supported.

The Module has a 2 hour trial that can be reset, just like the core Ignition modules. I’d be happy for anybody to try this out and let me know how it goes.

A free demo project that uses this module to send and receive SECS messages exists on the Extras section of the Inductive Automation website: inductiveautomation.com/downloads/extras

A full description and download exists on Module Marketplace:

Hi,
The demo project & simulator explain this module is acting as a host and connecting to all equipment. What If would like to treat Ignition client as equipment and talk to another host which is requesting information from Ignition client?
Any sample project or guidance on this will be really appreciated .

Many Thanks
Vinod
