Ubuntu update uninstalls license

So I’m on site and notice that the gateway (running on Ubuntu) needs serveral months of patches installed. I do that, reboot (required due to new kernel), and the gateway is in trial mode and there is no sign of the install license.

Note to devs: License has been reactived.

Older versions of Ignition used to require that you unactivate before doing system updates. This shouldn’t be the case in newer versions.

What version was your gateway?

7.2.9

I shall remember for the next time.

Yep, that'll do it. One of the things the old licensing logic looked at was the last modification to /bin, which tends to happen pretty much any time you update the system.
