We would like to allow users to subscribe or unsubscribe by themselves to a subset of existing On-Call Rosters depending on their assigned roles. This is actually impossible as there is no way to access On-Call Rosters settings programmatically.
It would be really useful for us to be able to access On-Call Roster settings via a database. It would also make it easy to validate to which On-Call Roster a user is subscribed with a simple sql query. This is quite long actually to validate this when there are many users and many On-Call Rosters.

This is the missing link to a fully automated system, where the supervisors in the field can administer the alarming for their area and their subordinates.
